turn on the radio

Last weekend Mister Kay was lucky to find a new radio.
It's a Blaupunkt Derby from the 60's. It looks a bit like a car radio. In fact this radio was designed to be mounted in a car or used as a portable (on arrival at the beach).

The color is so pretty and the sound is incredibable for such an old radio.

How are you getting on with your christmas shopping?
Our holidays are starting on Monday, so I try to do all
my shopping this week. Next week I can sit on my sofa
watching christmas movies & eating  gingerbread.

Love the jumping jack from Herzensart

50's christmas

At the flea market in Germany this weekend, there was a vendor who was selling christmas decoration from the 50's. Decorating the tree was very much a family tradition back in the 50's.
Want to know more, have a look at 'Rocking around the christmas tree'.

My mum has one of the angels (first picture) and I was surprised how much they are worth now.

more fifties,   Lisa Freemont Street is my fav on you tube

I do love the Starbucks christmas mugs and without realising I started to collect them. But this christmas
they got competion from the Talika mug from Iittala. Did you know that Talika means magic in Finnish, cool name for a mug. There is also a red Talika mug which is a special winter edition.

Did anybody get the  Jonathan Adler mug for Starbucks?

Dear Santa

I was wondering today if I should make a wishinglist for Santa aka Mister Kay this year? Guess I will make two lists, the first one is my  "one day I would love ... "  list and the second one is a "would be nice to have & easy to find' list.

my  "one day I would love ..." list
- a green  vintage Vivienne Westwood dress
- Kinect Yoga (I know I don't need it, lol)
- red Chanel lipstick (red is not my color but is nice to have, lol)
- a green  (more olive-grey) color  yogamat (I know the color is not easy to find)
- running shoes, I would love some in the colors purple with silver (better look for them myself, lol)

my ''would be nice to have & easy to find" list
- peppermint bark (oh well you have to call the family in the States, they don't sell it here)
- books (would you know what I like??)
- music,  the sound of the Westcoast 1965....that's easy to find??
- art...but then I love to buy art for myself
- sweets (remember I like the ones you don't like) like Sherbet Lemons or Boots candybars

oh Santa aka Mister Kay I know I'm not easy...but I'm sure you will do well.

tell me about your list? Love his list

There will be also some last minutes christmas shopping for my family in the USA.
