weekend...weekend

I had some amazing vintage swaps the last couple of weeks. Today I got this wonderful Elac RD100 alarm clock. I saw it last year at the Plastic World exhibiting. This one will live from now on in my living room.

Swapping is really big here. It is nice to see that my girl friends are getting in to it.
So there is a lot of daily life swapping going on here... from books to art.

Do you swap??

enjoy your weekend

We want to be modern

A couple of weeks ago we went to see the exhibition "We want to be modern" at the MMK museum in Arnhem. The exhibition is about polish design from 1955 to 1968  from the Collection of the National Museum in Warsaw. Featuring some amazing pieces of pottery and fabric.

Some of my blogger friends went to see the exhibition last year in Warschau and they also loved it.
Not sure which museum will show the exibition next but if it's in your area it's definitely worth paying a visit.

Check out this article from Designboom.

see you

- my green trousers
- the German Collection from OPI ( not sure which color I like most)

record player Lesa Mady 2

We got a new record player on the weekend.

It is the Mady 2, a little portable player designed and produced in 1975 by an Italian company called Lesa. The recordplayer is battery operated so I can carry it around playing my favourite rock & roll where ever I go.

How is your week going??

see you
Kay

little walk

In the moment we have great autumn weather. Perfect for a long beach or forest walk.

I tried to convince the family to have tea with me in the garden. But they where not very interested so I ended up having tea alone.

On my tray:

I found the little headhog mask in the Lion Street Store.
The vintage tea cup is from Fire King.
Little bowl from Krenit.
Vintage Soda Stream bottle from Valentines.

Enjoy the rest of the sunday

I don't really need a car but if I would get one... I would get a Nissan Figaro. The perfect car for a vintage hunter. I just love the look!

Hope you have a good week coming up. Busy week for me again. We had a very lazy weekend, which was fun and I feel full of energy.

color power

Guess  I have been reading too many Scandinavian blogs. They have so many cool and colorful vintage fabric. So my latest passion has been vintage sleeping bags and nice fabric blankets. They are not easy to find here. Maybe I should go on holidays to Norway next summer.

nesting

The weather is changing and I feel like nesting. I'm in the mood to change the house. Getting out the warm blankets. Time for hot drinks, candles, soup, toffee apples, good books and lots of cozy moments at my couch.

Enjoy your weekend,
Kay

P.S.:
Really want to see the new Woody Allen movie 'To Rome with Love'  ( I lived in Rome for some time and also met Mister Kay there, so I really should go see the movie).

Kanken

I don't need a new bag but I really love the Kanken backpacks. They look so vintage.

In Berlin I saw them at Scandiavian Objects. The last  couple of weeks I see them everywhere in town. The bags are from the 70's and are made in Sweden. They come in so many cool colors.

Anybody who has one?

Arabia jam pots

My latest passion are the jam pots  from
the Ramona Range by Arabia.
Most of the designs are by Raija Uosikkinen (1923-2004).

She worked for Arabia in the 50s and 60s.
The next one on my wishing list is the gooseberry jam pot.
