Hi There,

We just had a nice summer break in the UK. Margate is a seaside place which I always love to visit. It's easy to spend a day on the beach there or you can go to the Turner gallery. There are also some amazing shops in the old town.

Fox and Spindle (They got great candles and cute T-shirts)
The Harbour Café (Great place for food)
Tiny shop (I got a lot there but at the moment they don't have a website)

Enjoy the rest of the summer,

beach life

Hi There, I hope you are all well.

Sorry for the little break, but I have been spending lots of time on the beach catching waves, going swimming and on some days I'm just running.

I really like Scheveningen. Nice clean beach, lots of cafes, restaurants and Sealife.

One more week to go and our summer break is starting... six weeks of endless summer feeling on the way.

Enjoy your week,

PS: Fat Mermaid, lovely beach cafe.

Monday market in Amsterdam

I really like the Noordermarkt on Monday mornings in the moment. The market is in the center of Amsterdam. If you are looking for vintage clothes that's the place to visit.

At my last visit I managed to find some amazing kaftans for the endless summer to come and I did see some cool ceramics.

Fine week,

PS: love Stern Africa.  You can find them at the market.

open garden

This weekend they had the Open gardens in Kent. I love to visit private gardens. That gives you so many ideas. You can learn about plants and you can meet some friendly people.

Have a look if there are open gardens in your neighbourhood. In Amsterdam they are in June. Check out Open Tuinen Dagen, also a nice one to visit.

Fine week,

PS: Got tickets to see Agnes Obel, sure that will be a fine little concert.

vintage love

Here are some photos from some of the carboot sales we visited last week in the UK. I managed to find some nice pieces for my house and I always look for plants in spring (they are a lot cheaper at the market then in the garden center).

Fine little week,

PS: Had a great time at the Yogafestival in Leiden last Sunday, I think it's time to get some cool yoga clothes for my next festival.

Hi there,

We just got back from our trip to England. Some days full of long beach walks, meeting friends, some vintage hunting and just being lazy.

Mister Kay is buying cd's again. I personally still love vinyl but I must say mister Kay is getting the better bargains.

Enjoy your week,

PS: some new books in the house:
- Wild swimming
- and the new book from Kate Tempest

Easter Time

Lots of yellow this week.

We really needed a little break, Mister Kay and Nila both are recovering from a bad cold. So some time at home to sleep, drink lots of coffee and spinning some vinyl... that's what we need in the moment.

Happy Easter.

see you,

PS: Some new music in the house: Moondog.

slow living , garden days

When I get home I disappear into my garden. Did most of the heavy work in the last couple of weeks with Mister Kay together. Just need to do some seeding and clean up my green house.

Last autumn I spent some money on some more special spring bulbs and I must say, now they start to flower, it's looking really pretty.

Enjoy the sun,

PS: On my wish list one of the air planting sets from Carolijn Slottje.
